Notice of New and Altered Geographic and Crown Protected Area Names for Ngāti Rangi Claims Settlement Act 2019

Pursuant to sections 56, 57 and 59(1) to 59(3) of the Ngāti Rangi Claims Settlement Act 2019 (“Settlement Act 2019”), the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (“Board”) hereby gives notice of new and altered official geographic and Crown protected area names as described in the Schedule below.

The 32 official geographic and 1 Crown protected area names took effect on 26 September 2019, being the settlement date specified in the Settlement Act 2019. Pursuant to sections 58 and 59(4) of the Settlement Act 2019, the Board may in the future agree to alter any official geographic or Crown protected area names listed in the Schedule below with the written consent of the trustees of the Ngāti Rangi Trust.
