Pursuant to section 8(1A)(c) of the Human Rights Act 1993 and section 28(1)(b) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, Her Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Meng Liu Foon, of Gisborne

as the Race Relations Commissioner for a term of five years commencing on 26 August 2019.
