In the matter of the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal:

Pursuant to section 256 of the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006 (“Act”), notice is hereby given that on 3 October 2016, the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal ordered, pursuant to section 242(1)(e) of the Act, that Keith Ian Jefferies be suspended from practice as a barrister or as a solicitor, or as both, for a period of six months from 10 October 2016.

On 2 August 2017 the High Court formally issued a judgment which recorded the appeal against this order is allowed. The order for six months suspension is quashed and substituted with an order for suspension for four months from the date of the High Court judgment.
