1. Pursuant to subclause 2(1) of Schedule 1AA of the Resource Management Act 1991, the Minister for the Environment gives notice that certain material currently incorporated by reference into the Resource Management (National Environmental Standards for Plantation Forestry) Regulations 2017* (“Regulations”) has been replaced.
2. Schedule 2, item 1 of the Regulations refers to “Erosion Susceptibility Classification” and the version of the classification is July 2017. This has been updated by a new version of “Erosion Susceptibility Classification” which is dated March 2018.
3. Schedule 2, item 5 of the Regulations currently refers to “‘Estimation of Mean Annual Flood in New Zealand’, George A. Griffiths and Alastair I. McKerchar, NIWA, Journal of Hydrology (NZ) 51(2): 111–120 2012”. This has been replaced by “Comparison of a regional method for estimating design floods with two rainfall-based methods”. McKerchar, A. I., and Macky, G. H. 2001. Journal of Hydrology (NZ) 40(2): 129–138”.
4. The amendments to the material described in paragraphs 2–3 above take effect as part of the Regulations from 26 April 2018.

The incorporated material may be accessed via www.mfe.govt.nz, or inspected free of charge and purchased at the Ministry for the Environment, Environment House, 23 Kate Sheppard Place, Thorndon, Wellington 6143, between the hours of 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
