Pursuant to section 32 of the Corrections Act 2004, the Minister of Corrections gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title—This notice is the Corrections (Rimutaka Prison) Notice 2017.

2. Commencement—This notice takes effect from 6 March 2017.

3. Rimutaka Prison—The land and the parts of the buildings described in the Schedule are declared to be a corrections prison to be known as Rimutaka Prison.

4. Revocation—The Penal Institutions (Rimutaka Prison) Notice 2003* is revoked.

Rimutaka Prison

All that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District containing 189.0363ha, more or less, being part of Lot 1 on DP 89355, Section 8 on SO 34420, Section 1 on SO 34421, Section 20 on SO 37223, and Section 1 on SO 38011, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title 59688, Wellington Land Registry except an area of 1.1090ha within part of Lot 1 on DP 89355 marked as “A” on SO 508701;

The cell block contained within the building complex known as the Wellington High Court situated on:

1. all that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District containing 2315m², more or less, situated in the City of Wellington, being Section 1 on SO 35741, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title 43B/185, Wellington Land Registry; and
2. all that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District containing 989m², more or less, situated in the City of Wellington, being Section 2 on SO 35741, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title 43B/186, Wellington Land Registry; and

The cell block contained within the building complex known as the Wellington District Court situated on all that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District containing 1641m², more or less, situated in the City of Wellington, being Sections 1–3 Block VI Thorndon Reclamation and Lot 1 on DP 6634, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title 41D/189, Wellington Land Registry.
