Pursuant to section 47(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting of the following exemptions:

• 2 from Maritime Rule 19.62(1) – Maritime Transport Operator – Certification and Responsibilities – Operating Requirements – Maritime transport operator responsible for safe ships – No person may operate or permit the operation of a ship in the maritime transport operation unless the ship has a valid Certificate of Survey issued under Rule 44.41
• 1 from Maritime Rule 20.21(a) – Requirement to operate within lesser of operating limits assigned to ship or operating limits that apply to Master – Operating limits that are assigned to that ship under Rule 20.20(1) and that are recorded in accordance with Rule 20.20(2)
