Notice of Decision to Confirm Urgent Amendments to Acceptable Solutions C/AS1-AS7 and Verification Method C/VM2, to Further Amend Acceptable Solutions C/AS1-AS7 and Verification Method C/VM2 for New Zealand Building Code Clauses C1-C6, and to Amend the Acceptable Solution BCH/AS1 for Back Country Huts and Where Reasons for the Urgent Decision May be Obtained

Urgent Changes to the Acceptable Solutions and Verification Method for Building Code Clauses C1-C6 Protection from Fire
Pursuant to sections 24(1), 29(5) and 30 of the Building Act 2004 ("the Act"), I give notice of a decision to confirm urgent amendments, revocation and replacements to the acceptable solutions and verification method for
New Zealand Building Code clauses C1-C6 Protection from Fire ("urgent amendments") that came into force on
19 December 2013.
The urgent amendments modified:
- Acceptable Solutions C/AS1-C/AS7
- Verification Method C/VM2
Further Proposed Amendments to Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods
Pursuant to section 24(1) of the Building Act 2004, I give notice that the following acceptable solutions and verification method are to be amended following consultation ("further amendments"):
Building Code Clauses C1-C6 Protection from Fire
- Acceptable Solutions C/AS1-C/AS7
- Verification Method C/VM2
Back Country Huts
- Acceptable Solution BCH/AS1
The further amendments come into force on 1 July 2014.
