Pursuant to section 79 of the Hazardous Substances and
New Organisms Act 1996 ("HSNO Act"), the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) advises that it approved on
31 July 2014 the code of practice HSNOCOP 24 Above Ground Stationary Tanks with Integral Secondary Containment.
The purpose of this code of practice is to provide a means of compliance with the requirements of Schedule 9 clause 3(1)(b) of the Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods and Scheduled Toxic Substances) Transfer Notice 2004
(as amended), for the stationary tanks which have integral secondary containment.
Pursuant to section 80(1) of the HSNO Act, this code can be inspected on request at the Wellington Office of the EPA, Level 10, ANZ Tower, 215 Lambton Quay, Wellington 6011.
