Comments are now invited on the following proposals for Regulations that are to be made under Part 5 of the Biosecurity Act 1993:
- The proposed National Policy Direction 2013 for pest management plans and programmes; and
- proposal for Regulations that set out the process for the Minister for Primary Industries to assign responsibility for a decision on the appropriate response to an issue relating to a harmful organism or pathway.
The consultation documents and proposed National Policy Direction, and information on submitting comments can be found at the Ministry for Primary Industries website.
Submissions, either by email, or by post, must be made by no later than 5.00pm on Friday 14 June 2013.
