Pursuant to section 79 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 ("HSNO Act"), the Environmental Protection Authority gives notice it intends to apply for approval of the amended codes of practice:
HSNOCOP 6 Flammable Liquids Tank Wagons
HSNOCOP 29 Flammable Gases and Oxygen Tank Wagons
HSNOCOP 39 Toxic, Corrosive and Ecotoxic Liquids Tank Wagons
The purpose of these codes of practice is to provide a means of compliance with the requirements of the Hazardous Substances (Tank Wagons and Transportable Containers) Regulations 2004.
The proposed amendments to the codes of practice reflect the amendments made to these Regulations in November 2012.
