Notice Declaring an Aquaculture Settlement Area for the Purposes of the Maori Commercial Aquaculture Claims Settlement Act 2004 - Tawero Point (South) (No. F648)

Pursuant to section 12 of the Maori Commercial Aquaculture Claims Settlement Act 2004, the Minister for Primary Industries gives the following notice.

1. Title and commencement-(1) This notice may be cited as the Notice Declaring an Aquaculture Settlement Area for the Purposes of the Maori Commercial Aquaculture Claims Settlement Act 2004 - Tawero Point (South)
(No. F648).
(2) This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
2. Gazetting space for settlement purposes-For the purposes of preserving space to be used for meeting
the Crown's obligations under section 9 of the Maori Commercial Aquaculture Claims Settlement Act 2004, the Minister for Primary Industries declares the following
space in the coastal marine area to be an aquaculture settlement area:
Tawero Point (South)
The area enclosed by a line:
(a) Commencing at a point offshore (at 41ø04.04'S and 173ø55.67'E); then
(b) Proceeding in a south-easterly direction to a point offshore (at 41ø04.07'S and 173ø55.75'E); then
(c) Proceeding due east to a point offshore (at 41ø04.07'S and 173ø56.01'E); then
(d) Proceeding in a north-easterly direction to a point offshore (at 41ø04.01'S and 173ø56.15'E); then
(e) Proceeding due east to a point offshore (at 41ø04.01'S and 173ø56.26'E); then
(f) Proceeding in a southerly direction to a point offshore (at 41ø04.14'S and 173ø56.23'E); then
(g) Proceeding in a south-westerly direction to a point offshore (at 41ø04.19'S and 173ø56.01'E); then
(h) Proceeding due west to a point offshore (at 41ø04.19'S and 173ø55.75'E); then
(i) Proceeding in a north-westerly direction to a point offshore (at 41ø04.13'S and 173ø55.57'E); then
(j) Proceeding in a north-easterly direction to the point of commencement.
