Pursuant to section 61(3) of the Government Roading Powers Act 1989, and Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003, the NZ Transport Agency hereby makes the following bylaw.

1. Title and commencement-This bylaw may be cited as the New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Amendment Bylaw 2012/1 and will come into force 28 days after the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.
2. Amendment-The New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Bylaw 2010/10* is hereby amended by:
(a) Replacing line 73 in Schedule 1 to read:
"Line No.: 73

Locality: Onewa Interchange to Gillies Avenue
Section of State Highway: SOUTHBOUND - from 45m south of the southern abutment of the Onepoto Stream Bridge to 430m north of the northern abutment of the Newmarket Viaduct.
Speed Limit (km/h): 80

(b) Replacing line 74 in Schedule 1 to read:
"Line No.: 74

Locality: Gillies Avenue to Onewa Interchange
Section of State Highway: NORTHBOUND - from 240m north of the northern abutment of the Newmarket Viaduct through the Victoria Park Road Tunnel to 300m south of the southern abutment of the Onepoto Stream Bridge.
Speed Limit (km/h): 80

(c) Deleting line 75 in Schedule 1; and
(d) Deleting line 76 in Schedule 1.
