I, Alexander Lockwood Smith, Speaker of the House of Representatives, give notice that Hone Pani Tamati Waka Nene Harawira has resigned his seat in the House of Representatives for Te Tai Tokerau Electoral District with effect at the close of Friday 20 May 2011, and that the seat is vacant by reason of that resignation.
