Take notice that, pursuant to Part 2 (subpart 2) of the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 ("the Act"), compensation awarded to Kingi Morgan Gemmell was paid to the Secretary for Justice on 11 November 2010, and the surplus was paid into the victims’ claims trust account on 22 November 2010 on behalf of Kingi Morgan Gemmell to enable any victims of that offender to make claims against it.
And that on 22 January 2011, notice was given by publication in the daily newspapers in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, and in the New Zealand Gazette, 20 January 2011, No. 5, page 89, of the sum of money
paid into the trust account, and the entitlement of victims of the offender to claim against this money and the manner to
do so.
Under section 32(1)(b) of the Act, the Secretary for Justice has now paid out all of the money held in the trust account on behalf of Kingi Morgan Gemmell.
