Pursuant to section 103 of the Land Transport Management Act 2003, the Acting Secretary for Transport gives notice that, with effect from 17 June 2010:
(a) Part of State Highway 1 described in the First Schedule is revoked.
(b) The section of new road described in the Second Schedule is declared to be State Highway 1.
First Schedule
Part of State Highway 1 commencing from Route Position 0543/5.39, 160 metres south of the intersection of Avalon Drive and Crawford Street and extending in a generally southerly direction to Route Position 0543/7.55 (on Lincoln Street); the length of road to be revoked is 2.0 kilometres.
Second Schedule
Part of State Highway 1 in Hamilton commencing
from Route Position 0543/5.39, 160 metres south of the intersection of Avalon Drive and Crawford Street and extending in a generally southerly direction along the recently constructed Avalon Drive Bypass to Route Position 0543/7.95 (about 224 metres north of Edgar Street); a total distance of 2.4 kilometres.
