Pursuant to Regulation 6 of the Health and Safety in Employment (Pressure Equipment, Cranes, and Passenger Ropeways) Regulations 1999, I, Richard Steel, in exercise of the powers delegated in me by the Secretary of Labour, hereby give notice of exemption from these Regulations
in entirety to 300 metres of pipeline between Macdonald 4P and Macdonald 6P production wells in Greymouth, subject to the following conditions:
1. The affected pipeline extends between the following physical end points (given in terms of NZTM 2000):
Point 1: Northing 585 9384
Easting 237 0953
Point 2: Northing 585 9102
Easting 237 1018
2. The affected pipeline shall have all duties in relation to it including design, construction, operation, maintenance and inspection carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Health and Safety in Employment (Pipelines) Regulations 1999 (notwithstanding (c)(iii) of the definition of "Pipeline" in those Regulations).
