Pursuant to section 38(1)(g) of the Maori Commercial Aquaculture Claims Settlement Act 2004, the trustee of the Maori Commercial Aquaculture Settlement Trust (Te Ohu Kai Moana Trustee Limited) has a duty to notify the coastal endpoints of each regional council and unitary authority boundary.
This will allow the calculation of their boundary coastline lengths and the determination of an iwi aquaculture organisation's proportional coastline share of any aquaculture settlement assets created or any share of pre-commencement space settlement assets in the region.
The coastal endpoint co-ordinates for each regional council and unitary authority endpoint are accordingly notified as follows:
