Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal Decision-Registered Nurse

The Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal, in a decision dated the 6th day of September 2007, pursuant to the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003, determined that Bruce William Hewson, registered nurse, had been convicted of offences that reflected adversely on his fitness to practise as a nurse.
The tribunal cancelled his registration and ordered that Bruce William Hewson pay $1,372.52 in contribution to the total costs and expenses of and incidental to the hearing by the tribunal and $244.73 as a contribution to the costs incurred by the professional conduct committee.
The tribunal also ordered that summaries of its decision be published in the New Zealand Gazette, Kai Tiaki: Nursing New Zealand, the New Zealand Nursing Review, the Nursing Council of New Zealand's newsletter and on the tribunal's website.
