Pursuant to section 50 (5) of the Biosecurity Act 1993,
I give notice that the following approved identification systems may be used to comply with the Biosecurity (Animal Identification Systems) Regulations 1999, with respect to the identification of deer and cattle for the purpose of controlling bovine tuberculosis:
1. Animal Health Board Identification System administered by the Animal Health Board Incorporated, approved by Barry O’Neil, Chief Technical Officer, on 13 May 1999.
2. MINDA identification system administered by the Livestock Improvement Corporation Limited, approved by Barry O’Neil, Chief Technical Officer, on 3 June 1999.
3. AgriTag identification system administered by AgriQuality Limited, approved by Peter Thomson, Director-Post Clearance, on 4 December 2006.
