Pursuant to section 79 (5) of the Hazardous Substances
and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority advises that it has approved a Code of Practice for Approved Handler’s Certificates Explosives.
This code is intended to provide a means of compliance with the regulatory requirements of clauses 5 (1) (a), 5 (1) (b), 5 (1) (d), 5 (1) (h), 5 (1) (i) and 5 (2) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (Personnel Qualifications) Regulations 2001 in relation to explosives.
This code can be inspected at the Wellington office
of ERMA New Zealand (Level One, BP House,
20 Customhouse Quay) or the Christchurch office of the
NZ Extractive Industries Training Organisation (EXITO).
