Fixed Wireless Access: Allocation of

Crown–Retained Spectrum at 3.5GHZ
—Call for Applications
Pursuant to section 48 of the Radiocommunications Act 1989, the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development (“MED”) intends to execute radio spectrum licences suitable for fixed wireless access services in the 3.5GHz frequency band, and to allocate these spectrum licences in accordance with this call for applications.
Interested persons are invited to make an application to MED for the commercial allocation of area spectrum licences (based on territorial local authority areas) for fixed wireless access services.
Interested persons should note that the process to be followed to obtain an area licence is in accordance with, and is subject to, the allocation rules.
Therefore, interested persons should familiarise themselves with the content of the allocation rules.
Note that when submitting an application, interested persons will be required to agree to the terms of the allocation rules.
