Transit New Zealand (Transit Lanes) Bylaw 2005/4 – Amendment No. 1

Pursuant to section 6 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, section 72 (1) (k) of the Transport Act 1962 and section 72 (1) (kb) of the Transport Act 1962, Transit New Zealand hereby makes the following bylaw.

1. Title and commencement – This bylaw may be cited
as the Transit New Zealand (Transit Lanes) Bylaw 2005/4
– Amendment No. 1, and comes into force the day after
the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
2. New Schedules substituted—The Transit New Zealand (Transit Lane) Bylaw 2005/4* is hereby amended by omitting the First and Second Schedules and substituting
the following:
First Schedule
The southbound, kerbside lane of State Highway
No. 1 at Mana, from a point located approximately
69 metres south of the centreline of Acheron Road at
its intersection with State Highway No. 1 (which is also approximately 102 metres south of the Route Position Marker 1035/14.00) and continuing generally south for
a distance of approximately 1034 metres to a point located approximately 129 metres north of the
northern abutment of the eastern Paremata Bridge (which abutment is also approximately 265 metres
south of the Route Position Marker 1035/15.00); and
Second Schedule
The northbound, kerbside lane of State Highway
No. 1 at Mana, from a point located approximately
250 metres north of the point directly opposite the northern abutment of the eastern Paremata Bridge (which abutment is also approximately 265 metres south of the Route Position Marker 1035/15.00) and continuing generally north for a distance of approximately 474 metres to a point located approximately 512 metres south of the point directly opposite the centreline of Acheron Road at its intersection with State Highway No. 1 (which is also approximately 545 metres south of the Route Position Marker 1035/14.00).
This bylaw was made by resolution passed at a meeting of Transit New Zealand held in Wellington on 8 December 2005.

Explanatory Note
This note is not part of the bylaw, but explains its effect.
This bylaw amends the description of the Transit lanes in the Transit New Zealand (Transit Lanes) Bylaw 2005/4, that came into force on 10 November 2005.
The amendments reflect re-measurement of the lanes now that they are in place and marked on the road and signposted.
