The Traffic (Waimate District) Notice 2002

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976,
and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by
the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand
dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice:
N o t i c e
1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waimate District) Notice 2002.
2. The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times for the purposes of section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.
3. The road specified in the Second Schedule is declared
to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
4. Those parts of The Traffic (Waimate County) Notice No. 1, 1981* dated 27 July 1981 that relate to roads situated within Waimate County at Glenavy are revoked.
First Schedule
Situated within the Waimate District at Glenavy:
McLean Street.
Parker Street: From White Street to Railway Terrace.
Ruane Street.
Pyke Street.
Railway Terrace: From White Street to McLean Street.
Redcliffe Road.
Glenavy Tawai Road: From State Highway No. 1 to a point 100 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said road from Ruane Street.
White Street.
Second Schedule
Situated within the Waimate District at Glenavy:
State Highway No. 1 (Awanui-Bluff): From a point 120 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said State Highway from White Street to a point 240 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said State Highway from Redcliffe Road.
