Amendment No. 20
Section 11L of the Food Act 1981
Amendment No. 20 to the New Zealand Food Standard 1996, was issued by the Minister of Health on 11 December 2000.
Amendment No. 20 incorporates changes made by Amendment No. 52 to the Australian Food Standards Code (ASFC) into the New Zealand Food Standard 1996.
The Australia New Zealand Food Authority (ANZFA) gazetted Amendment No. 52 in Australia and New Zealand on 7 December 2000.
Amendment No. 20 also incorporates provisions of the Australian Food Standards Code, as incorporated into the New Zealand Food Standard 1996, be alternative to Regulation 264 in the Food Regulations 1984.
Regulation 264 regulates the sale of irradiated food.
The New Zealand Food Standard 1996 and the material incorporated into it by reference, i.e. the AFSC up to and including Amendment No. 52, is available for inspection at the Ministry of Health, 133 Molesworth Street, Wellington, or may be viewed on the Ministry of Health web site: www.moh.govt.nz
