Draft Standard to Regulate Irradiated Foods Irradiated Foods P89B The authority is considering the draft food standard to regulate irradiated food in Australia and New Zealand, and invites written submissions on the standard. Under the proposed standard the irradiation of food or ingredients of food would be prohibited unless a specific permission is given. The authority proposes that labelling of all irradiated food should be undertaken irrespective of how minor the ingredients.
