Declaring New Sections of State Highway: State Highway No. 1B and State Highway No. 39 Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Authority gives notice that, with effect from midnight on the 31st day of December 1999, those sections of road described in the Schedule hereto are declared to be State highway. Schedule 1. No. 1B State Highway to consist of that section of road between Taupiri and Cambridge, commencing at the intersection of State Highway 1 and Gordonton Road (new Reference Station 0) and extending in a south-easterly direction along Gordonton Road to the intersection with Taylor Road (new Reference Station 18), then continuing generally in a south-easterly direction along Taylor Road, Puketaha Road, Telephone Road and Marshmeadow Road to the intersection of Marshmeadow Road and State Highway 26 at Newstead (new Reference Station 30), then eastwards in common with State Highway 26 for a distance of 1.18 kilometres to Hoeka Road (new Reference Station 32), then continuing generally in a south-easterly direction along Hoeka Road and Marychurch Road, and then generally in an easterly direction along Church Road, then south on Victoria Road and Victoria Street to the intersection with State Highway 1 at Cambridge (new Reference Station 48); a total distance of 46.34 kilometres. 2. No. 39 State Highway to consist of that section of road between Ngaruawahia and Otorohanga, commencing at the intersection of State Highway 1 and Ellery Street (new Reference Station 0) and extending generally in a southerly direction along the Ngaruawahia Te Kowhai Road and the Whatawhata Horotiu Road to the intersection with State Highway 23 at Whatawhata (new Reference Station 17), then eastwards along the common section with State Highway 23 to the Tuhikaramea Whatawhata Road (new Reference Station 18), then continuing generally in a southerly direction along the Tuhikaramea Whatawhata Road to Mangaotama Stream Bridge (new Reference Station 34), then in a southerly direction along Kakaramea Road to Mangapiko Stream Bridge (new Reference Station 44), continuing on Franklin Street, east on Baffin Street and south on McClure Street, then generally in a southerly direction along Ormsby Road and Symes Road to the intersection with State Highway 31 at Tihiroa (new Reference Station 60), then continuing in common with State Highway 31 to the intersection with State Highway 3 at Otorohanga (Reference Station 74); a distance of 70.47 kilometres.
