Revoking Sections of State Highways Declaring New Sections of State Highway Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Authority gives notice that, with effect from midnight on 30 June 1997, those sections of State highway described in the First Schedule hereto are revoked, those sections of road described in the Second Schedule hereto are declared to be State highway. First Schedule All of that part of State Highway No. 1 at Kaitaia that is on North Road from its intersection with Matthews Avenue (at RP 01/6.45), extending in a generally southerly direction to its intersection with Commerce Street and then along the full length of Commerce Street and part of South Road, to the intersection of South Road and Church Road (at RP 01/8.34) a distance of approximately 1.87 kilometres. All of that part of State Highway No. 22 from a point 30 metres south of the northern intersection with Adams Drive, Pukekohe (at RP 0/12.94) and extending generally in a southerly direction to the existing southern terminus of the highway (at RP 29/0.0) 500 metres south of the south abutment of the Tuakau Bridge (at RP 29/0.0) a distance of approximately 16.41 kilometres. All of that part of State Highway No. 23 at Raglan, commencing at a point (at RP 34/11.76) located 20 metres south-east of Manukau Street, and extending in a generally northerly direction to its intersection with Rose Street (at RP 34/14.10) a distance of approximately 2.34 kilometres. All of that part of State Highway No. 30 in Whakatane, from the eastern abutment of the Whakatane River Bridge (at RP 219/10.26), extending in an easterly direction along Landing Road and Domain Road then in a north-easterly direction along Commerce Street to the southern boundary of The Strand (at RP 232/0.00) a distance of approximately 2.48 kilometres. All of that part of State Highway No. 31 at Kawhia, commencing at a point (at RP 47/9.30) located 760 metres north-east of Powewe Street and extending in a generally south-westerly direction to its intersection with Kaora Street (at RP 47/10.32) a distance of approximately 1.02 kilometres. All of that section of State Highway No. 35 at Gisborne from its intersection with Customhouse Street (at RP 327/0.17) extending generally in a north-westerly direction to its intersection with State Highway No. 2 at Makaraka (at RP 333/0.00) a distance of approximately 6.08 kilometres. All of that part of State Highway No. 38 from a point (at RP 44/12.60), approximately 30 metres south-east of Minginui Road extending generally in a south-easterly direction to Huiarau School (at RP 64/21.55) a distance of approximately 29.03 kilometres. All of State Highway No. 56 from its junction with State Highway No. 3 in Palmerston North (at RP 0/0.0) being the intersection of Princess Street and Main Street, extending generally west to its junction with State Highway No. 1 (at RS 29) a distance of approximately 29.00 kilometres. All of that part of State Highway No. 57 being the full length of Opiki Road from its junction with Makerua Road (at RP 21/4.48) proceeding through Opiki to its intersection with State Highway No. 56 (at RS39) a distance of approximately 13.24 kilometres. All of that part of State Highway No. 71 in Rangiora commencing at a point (at RP 0/6.38) located on Lineside Road approximately 440 metres south-east of Flaxton Road and extending in a north-westerly direction along Lineside Road and then in a northerly direction along Southbrook Road, Percival Street, Victoria Street, Northbrook Road and Ivory Street to the southern boundary of High Street (at RP 0/9.49) a distance of approximately 3.11 kilometres. All of that part of State Highway No. 75 in Akaroa commencing at a point (at RP 61/17.59) located on Woodills Road approximately 110 metres north-west of the intersection with Rue Lavaud extending in a south-easterly direction along Woodills Road then in a south-westerly direction along Rue Lavaud to the northern abutment of Aylmers Stream Bridge (at RP 61/19.11) a distance of approximately 1.52 kilometres. All of that part of State Highway No. 77 south of Waddington commencing at a point (at RP 79/7.11) located at its intersection with Bangor Road extending in a north-easterly direction along Homebush Road then in a northerly direction along Deans Road to its intersection with State Highway No. 73, West Coast Road (at RP 79/15.28) a distance of approximately 8.17 kilometres. All of State Highway No. 89 from its commencement at Brownston Street, Wanaka (at RP48/2.97) extending generally in an easterly direction to its junction with State Highway No. 6 at Mount Iron (at RP 48/5.62), a distance of approximately 2.63 kilometres. All of that section of State Highway No. 96 on Birchwood Road at Ohai commencing at a point (at RP84/7.18) 110 metres south-west of Duchess Street and extending to its terminus at a point (at RP84/9.54) located 850 metres west of McLagan Street a distance of approximately 2.36 kilometres. Second Schedule No. 1 State Highway to include that section of the Kaitaia Bypass on Matthews Avenue from its intersection with State Highway No. 1 at a point (at RP 01/6.45), extending in a generally south-easterly direction the full length of Matthews Avenue to its intersection with Church Street and then along Church Street in a generally south-westerly direction to its intersection with State Highway No. 1 (at RP 01/8.34) a distance of approximately 1.89 kilometres. No. 1 State Highway to include that section of road at Picton commencing at a point (at RP 0/0.0) 80 metres north of the intersection of Auckland Street and London Quay, extending in a southerly direction along Auckland Street to its intersection with London Quay (at RP 0/0.08) a distance of approximately 80 metres. No. 11 State Highway to include that section of the Kawakawa to Paihia Road from its intersection with State Highway No. 1 (at new RS 0/0.00) in a generally northerly direction to a point (at new RP 0/14.05) 105 metres south of Tohitapu Road a distance of approximately 14.05 kilometres. No. 15 State Highway to include that section of the access road to the Port of Whangarei on Rewarewa Road, Kioreroa Road and Port Road commencing (at new RS 0) at the intersection of State Highway No. 1 and extending generally in an easterly direction to the eastern end of Rewarewa Road at Kioreroa Road, then along the full length of Kioreroa Road from Rewarewa Road to Port Road and then along Port Road from Kioreroa Road to a point (at RP 0/4.35) 225 metres south-east of the intersection of Fraser Street a distance of approximately 4.35 kilometres. No. 16 State Highway to include that section of Parnell Rise from its intersection with Stanley Street and The Strand (at RP 01/0.0), and then along full length of The Strand to its intersection with Quay Street (at new RP 0/0.0) a distance of approximately 1.00 kilometres. No. 21 State Highway to include all that section of Airport Road, between Tamahere and Rukuhia, commencing at the intersection with State Highway No. 1 (at new RP 0/0.00) and extending in a south-westerly direction to its intersection with State Highway No. 3 (at new RP 2/4.97); a distance of approximately 6.73 kilometres. No. 24 State Highway to include that section of road between Matamata and Kaimai, commencing at the intersection of Firth Street (State Highway No. 27) and Broadway (at new RP 0/0.00) and extending in a south-easterly direction along Broadway, Mangawhero Road and Tauranga Road to the intersection with State Highway No. 29 (at new RP 0/12.97) a distance of approximately 12.97 kilometres. No. 28 State Highway to include that section of road between Putaruru and Kaimai, commencing at the intersection of Whites Road with State Highway No. 1 (at new RP 0/0.00) and extending in a north-easterly direction along Whites Road to the intersection with State Highway No. 5, then in common with State Highway No. 5 in a north-easterly direction to the intersection with Harwoods Road, then extending generally in a northerly direction along Harwoods Road, Tapapa - Te Poi Road and Rapurapu Road to the intersection with State Highway No. 29 (at new RP 17/7.17) a distance of approximately 23.57 kilometres. No. 34 State Highway to include that section of Tamarangi Drive and Kawerau Road at Kawerau from its intersection with Islington Street (at RP 15/4.11), extending generally in a north-westerly direction along Tamarangi Drive and Kawerau Road to the intersection of State Highway No. 30 (at new RP 21/4.15) a distance of approximately 6.29 kilometres. No. 35 State Highway to include that section of Customhouse Street, at Gisborne from its intersection with Gladstone Road (at RP 327/0.17) and Awapuni Road generally in a westerly direction to its intersection with State Highway No. 2 (at new RP 335/0.00) a distance of approximately 8.01 kilometres. No. 37 State Highway to include that section of Waitomo Caves Road at Hangatiki, commencing at its intersection with State Highway No. 3 (at new RP 0/0.00) and extending in a westerly direction to its intersection with Waitomo Valley Road (at new RP 0/7.33); a distance of approximately 7.33 kilometres. No. 46 State Highway to include that section of Rotoaira Road commencing at the intersection with State Highway No. 1 (at new RP 0/0.00) at Rangipo, and extending in a westerly direction to the intersection with State Highway No. 47 (at new RP 7/12.63) a distance of approximately 19.12 kilometres. No. 50 State Highway to include that section of State Highway No. 50 in Central Hawkes Bay from its intersection with Kereru Road (at RP 49/9.14) in a generally southerly direction to its intersection with State Highway No. 2 (at new RP 90/0.00) a distance of approximately 31.25 kilometres. No. 56 State Highway to include the full length of Opiki Road commencing at its junction with State Highway No. 57 at Makerua (at new RP 0/0.00), through Opiki to its intersection with revoked State Highway No. 56, then east along Pioneer Highway through Longburn to its intersection with Maxwells Line (at new RP 22/1.63 ) a distance of approximately 22.90 kilometres. No. 57 State Highway to include that section of road commencing at the intersection of State Highway No. 57 and Opiki Road (at RS 26), proceeding in a north-easterly direction along Makerua Road, Tennent Drive, Old West Road, Aokautere Drive and Fitzherbert East Road to its intersection with State Highway No. 3 west of Manawatu Gorge (at new RP 50/14.68) a distance of approximately 38.50 kilometres. No. 77 State Highway to include all of that section of Bangor Road west of Darfield from its intersection with Homebush Road (at RP 79/7.11) extending in an easterly direction to its intersection with State Highway No. 73 (at RP 79/14.89) a distance of approximately 7.78 kilometres. No. 84 State Highway to include all of the revoked section State Highway No. 89 from its junction with State Highway No. 6 at Mount Iron (at new RP0/0.00), to Brownston Street in Wanaka (at new RP0/2.63) a distance of approximately 2.63 kilometres. No. 98 State Highway to include all of that section of the Lorne-Dacre Road commencing at its intersection with State Highway No. 1 (at new RP0/0.00) at Dacre, extending generally in a westerly direction to its intersection with State Highway No. 6 (at new RP0/21.61) at Lorneville a distance of approximately 21.61 kilometres.
