Biosecurity (Declaration of TB Vectors) Notice No. 35 Pursuant to section 179 (1a) (b) of the Biosecurity Act 1993, the Director-General of Agriculture declares ferrets (Mustela putorius furo) to be a vector of tuberculosis for the purposes of section 179 of the Biosecurity Act 1993, by virtue of the fact that ferrets may act as vectors for tuberculosis.
