Appointment to the Rules Committee Pursuant to the power vested in the Chief Justice of New Zealand by subsection (3) of section 51b of the Judicature Act 1908 as enacted by section 4 of the Judicature Amendment Act (No. 2) 1985, the Acting Chief Justice of New Zealand has appointed Colin Robert Carruthers, one of Her Majesty's Counsel, of Wellington to be a member of the Rules Committee for the special purpose of facilitating continuing liaison between the Rules Committee and the governing bodies of the New Zealand Law Society and the New Zealand Bar Association.
