Woodhill-Riverhead Rural Fire District Notice 1993 Pursuant to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, the National Rural Fire Authority hereby makes the following notice. N o t i c e 1. Title and commencement (1) This notice may be cited as the Woodhill-Riverhead Rural Fire District Notice 1993. (2) This notice shall come into force on the 28th day after notification in the New Zealand Gazette. 2. Interpretation In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires: ``Act'' means the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977; ``Committee'' means the Woodhill-Riverhead Rural Fire Committee; and ``District'' means the Woodhill-Riverhead Rural Fire District. Constitution of the Rural Fire District 3. Declaration of Rural Fire District (1) The areas specified in the Schedule to this notice are hereby constituted and declared to be a rural fire district to be known as the Woodhill-Riverhead Rural Fire District. (2) The Woodhill-Riverhead Rural Fire District shall be administered for the purpose of the Act by a rural fire committee known as the Woodhill-Riverhead Rural Fire Committee. (3) The committee shall consist of five members as follows: (a) Three persons appointed, in writing, by the Carter Holt Harvey Forests Limited signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof; and (b) One person appointed, in writing, by The Rodney District Council signed on behalf of the council by the chief executive and the mayor thereof; and (c) One person appointed, in writing, by the Director-General of the Department of Conservation. 4. Restricted fire season The period between the 1st day of October in any one year and the 30th day of September in the following year (both days inclusive) is hereby declared to be a restricted fire season in the district. Schedule North Auckland Land District Rodney District Woodhill-Riverhead Rural Fire District All those parcels containing 29,500 hectares, more or less, as shown on S.O. Plan 66279, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor, North Auckland Land District and as the same on the plan numbered NRFA 112 deposited in the National Headquarters of the New Zealand Fire Service at Wellington.
