1. Under section 95 of the Education Act 1989, with authority delegated from the Minister of Education, I determine the composition of the Central Auckland Specialist School (840) Board of Trustees (“Board”), (formerly known as the Combined Board of Trustees for Carlson School (Cerebral Palsy) and Sunnydene Special School), shall be under section 94 of the Education Act 1989 (“Act”).
2. All current trustees of the Board will remain in office until the date that the newly elected trustees take office following the first election under section 94 of the Act.
3. This notice replaces the constitution previously specified in the notice titled “Establishment of a Combined Board of Trustees for Carlson School (523) and Sunnydene Special School (1517)” (published in the New Zealand Gazette, 19 May 2016, Issue No. 44, Notice No. 2016-go2673).

This notice takes effect on the date of publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

Explanatory Note

On 28 January 2018, Carlson School (Cerebral Palsy) and Sunnydene Special School were merged under the governance of a combined Board. This notice changes the constitution of the Board to one more appropriate to govern a single school.
